Wayward Strand is a heartfelt and empathetic story game interspersed with a myriad of threads. They all play out simultaneously aboard an airborne hospital in 1970s Australia.
Wayward Strand lets you take the character of Casey Beaumaris, an adolescent patient who comes to the hospital for her first experience. Through three days, she’ll investigate the past of the vessel, the life of the people who live there, and their relationships to their fellow passengers.
The ship’s’ rooms and talk to those who have a fascinating and unique lifestyle. You can also join the employees and take a peek while exploring the ship and try to discover the mysteries of its tangled past.
Hospital residents have a wide range of personalities, that have a variety of personalities, many charming and others different from others – all having their own goals aspirations, dreams, and desires. They can do whatever they want without regard to the player character.
The stay of three days Casey enjoys aboard the vessel allows her be a part of the lives of others on board, and Casey can then investigate. Every single character is able to act and move according to their personal schedule. They exchange news, opinions, gossip, arguing, joking, or simply having a chat with Casey.
Casey is going to explore the many tales of the airship and learn how her actions had an impact on them.
